A RARE CHARLES II PEWTER OEWS GILL HAMMERHEAD BALUSTER MEASURE, CIRCA 1680. Of typical form, with two faint lines to widest part of body, the lid with two incised rings centred by a punched lozenge, with beaded edge, possibly a makers mark (for example John Donne, PS2922, however the beading appears too prominent for a makers stamp), the handle with a short cylindrical strut, capacity approximately 4.7 fl.oz, 10cm high.
