A 1798 PATTERN OFFICERS HIGHLAND BASKET HILTED BROADSWORD.
With an 81cm pointed, double sided and partially fullered broadsword blade, with a basket hand guard with traces of original gilt finish and buck skin liner, with wire wound leather grip and bun pommel. With a leather scabbard with three gilt metal mounts, the top mount engraved 'Davies, Sword Cutler & Belt maker to his majesty, St James's St.' 100cm overall.
