Property of a gentleman - a rare late 18th century 'Squire' Toby jug, circa 1785-90, the gentleman with well defined face, modelled sitting on a corner chair, with mottled brown decoration, handle of foaming beer jug and long handled smoking pipe are missing, the jug handle re-stuck, 11.7ins. (29cms.) high. Footnote - a related Toby jug was sold at Bonhams, London, 1st December 2021, Lot 330.
