More Information

The piece is framed under glass and has not been removed for inspection. The piece shows several areas of what appears to be white mould across the surface. The piece shows expected darkening to the background fabric and fading to the coloured thread. The piece has been mounted on some kind of backcloth, and this is visible through several small areas of damage to the background fabric (see photos). The frame appears to be sturdy, but shows the odd chip and dent to the edges.
