A Belgian 6 shot 12mm Lefaucheux closed frame double action pinfire revolver, by Francotte, c 1865, number 128390, round barrel with raised rib 102mm, the breech stamped “E LEFAUCHEUX INVR. BREVETE”, the barrel engraved in gothic script “G. Goth & Cie, a Buenos (Ayres)”, the breech and pin guard engraved with vines and tendrils, the cylinder and frame finely chiselled and engraved with panels of vines, tendrils and blossom, the frame bearing Francotte’s “AF” mark, with ejector rod, external half cock spring, bag shaped butt with chequered dark walnut grips, and lanyard ring.
