A rare William & Mary/Queen Anne pewter flat-lid spouted flagon, Northumberland, circa 1700-10

Having a plain straight-sided tapering drum, with slightly flared base and slender footrim, a very slightly domed ‘flat-lid’ with locating flange, twin-lobed thumbpiece, single-curve handle with lower struct attachment and ’shield' terminal, the drum engraved ‘Walt Smith & James Tweddale Church Wardens’, touchmark inside base of Anthony Row, Gateshead, (fl.1687-1717), (PS8164), 80 fl.oz., 36.4cm high
