Boxer Rebellion. 1900 (July 7) Cover from E. Meyer & Co in Tientsin to England bearing two 20pf stamps each tied by Tientsin c.d.s, the reverse inscribed "This envelope was sent off during the siege of Tientsin" in the same handwriting as the address. Tientsin was besieged by Chinese forces from late June until July 13th.
