AIR MAIL COVERS: An album containing a 1927-39 range of all different Air Mail covers mounted on written-up display pages explaining the rates, etc., classified as special, experimental, government, semi-official, official, commemorative, and official inaugural flights. Mainly inland destinations but also to USA, UK, and a few to Jamaica, India or El Salvador. Inc. a 1927 registered env. for the Montreal to Vancouver first trans-Canada flight rated 55c and franked with the entire Confederation set + 3 others with small 2-line "AIR FLIGHT ABANDONED/LETTER RETURNED" hs; and a v. busy 1928 air mail env. from Montreal to Toronto first flight of daily service franked with a marginal pair of the 5c air mail stamp + 1c Admiral tied by Montreal duplexes with boxed "THIS MAIL WAS CARRIED ON/POSTAL AIRPLANE/TO TORONTO", "F. TORONTO/SEP. 28 1928/General Delivery" & pointing hand "RETURN/TO/WRITER". All in fine condition with excellent postmarks & cachets. (78 covers) Cross Reference: AIR MAIL COVERS
