31st Foot (Huntingdonshire) William IV / Victorian Officer shoulder belt plate circa 1830-47.
Fine scarce burnished gilt rectangular plate mounted with silver crowned laurel sprays entwined with multi part scroll, bearing numerous honours, surrounding HUNTINGDONSHIRE strap. Finely seeded XXXI to slightly domed centre. Two hooks and two studs. Service wear, GC Became 1st Bn. East Surrey Regiment on Friday 1st July 1881 whilst commanded by Thomas Eaton Swettenham.
