Boer War Royal Engineers unusual rank group of three medals. Awarded to Superintendent Clark Ernest James Hart. Queen's South Africa Medal single clasp "Cape Colony", "17058 Q.M.SJT E.J. HART R.E.) (Early engraved naming with ghost dates), King's South Africa Medal clasps "South Africa 1901", "South Africa 1902", "17508 SUPT: CLERK E.J. HART RE", Army Long Service & Good Conduct Medal (VIC) "Q/MRS SGT E.J. HART RE" (Engraved naming). Medals loose original ribbons. Superintendent Clark Ernest James Hart a draughtsman by trade, enlisted in 1881. He served in South Africa from 1896 to 1902 and later in Egypt 1906 to 1907, discharged in 1907. Clasp entitlement is confirmed.
