An oak six plank coffer. 18th century, with a carved frieze, on stile feet, height 49cm, width 107cm, depth 46cm.
The top has been split, and later strengthened causing some of the screws to have come through the top, which have been later filled. The candle box is lacking, and there is a small section that has been replaced along the back of the coffer. Signs of woodworm to the lower half and staining, especially to one end, the feet have also been reduced. Please see our website for additional images of affected areas.
