A large framed original watercolour on paper painting by well known Irish artist John Maher, signed lower right. This work, in tones of sepia's and oranges, features an expressionistic scene of a crowd gathered around a fallen figure. The work has mixed media elements with the addition of gold leaf to highlight the central figure. Maher has a strong auction history with works such as this selling in the high hundreds.
Glass is damaged but the work is in good condition.
Hailing from Ringsend, Maher's artwork has taken him all over the world with exhibitions in Ghana and France, and on two occasions he has had exhibitions hosted by the UN in Geneva.
