1989 Jaguar XJS Convertible with only 2,700 miles and one owner from new. This desirable XJS Convertible is described by the vendor as an absolutely superb car that has had only one previous owner, who kept it in a climate controlled collection in the USA. The owner had the V12 removed in 1991 by a Jaguar specialist in Dallas, who is still in business, and it was a superb conversion. The car had done 1,100 miles at time of conversion and is now on just 2,700 miles.
The car is as good underneath as it is on top. The new engine is a fuel injected 5.7L Corvette engine and all parts were brand new. The exhaust pipes are all stainless original Jaguar, the gearbox is Jaguar original, it is just the engine non original. The vendor advises that Jaguar Land Rover have been trying to buy it back.
All taxes and duty’s have been paid but it has not been registered in the UK as yet. All the books, tapes, touch up pens etc are as new, as is the hood bag and mats. The vendor states that this car has to be the finest examples in the world, and that in very rare black with red leather, he has never seen one like this before. The car comes with special order knock on wire wheels, not bolt ons. The original bill of sale for $59,000 is present.
