Small wooden totem figure of a Monkey Man from the Sepik River region of Papua New Guinea. 43cms tall. These were traditionally placed by the entrances to dwellings to ward off evil spirits. Vendor aquired these items whilst working on Papua New Guinea in the mid '80's
