A cased scratch built waterline model of the Clan Line Cargo ship SS 'Clan Brodie': black funnel over deck with lifeboats and davits, fixtures and fittings, white and black hull on a painted waterline base in a glazed case, 31 x 92 x 21cm. * Notes- Built by Greenock Dockyard Co, Glasgow and laid down as Clan Brodie, she was immediately purchased by the Admiralty at the outbreak of WWII and fitted out as the aircraft transport HMS Athene. After the war she was returned to the Clan Line and eventually sold for scrapping in 1963.
