Henry Matthew Brock (1875 - 1960) - a piece of original highly detailed mixed media artwork by H.M. Brock created for Gilbert and Sullivan (2nd Series) set of 50 cigarette cards issued by John Player and Sons in 1927. This piece was used for 'Jack Point "The Yeomen of The Guard"' in the set. Mounted and signed to the bottom right corner. Measuring approximately 42 cm x 30 cm including the mount.

Henry Matthew Brock (11 July 1875 - 21 July 1960) was a British illustrator and landscape painter of the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. He was one of four artist brothers who worked together in a family studio in Cambridge. Brock worked in advertising as well as in book illustration, for example he illustrated Charles Dickens' 'Great Expectations', and produced four colour plates for a 1935 edition of 'A Christmas Carol'. The University of Reading has an H.M. Brock collection, which is made up some 2000 books in which Brock's work was published.
