German Third Reich Luftwaffe 2nd pattern Officer's dagger with knot by Eickhorn, Solingen. Good example circa 1937-45 with spiral amber celluloid grip and twist wire binding, the plain blade bearing Original Eickhorn, Solingen squirel logo. The aluminium cross-guard and langet bearing a flying eagle and swastika; the pommel ornamented with gilt swastika and oak leaves. Housed in its stippled silvered metal scabbard fitted with two suspension rings and foliate lockets. Complete with aluminium wire portepee (knot). Minor service wear and toned but generally GC. Introduced in July 1937.
