German / Ottoman WWI officers Gallipoli Star. A very nice example of the German made version. Undamaged enamels. Good clear detail, marked BB& Co on the reverse side with its correct pin, hook and hinge. This medal was awarded to Turkish, German and Austrian soldiers who participated in the operations against the Allied expeditionary forces who attempted unsuccessfully the assault against the Turkish fortifications of the Dardanelles.
