A 19th century Tunbridge ware glove box by Edmund Nye - rectangular form, the lid with a central panel with foliate scrolls and floral rosettes within a boxwood and geometric banded border, the base with a floral meander, the interior lined with deep pink silk, the base lined with decorative paper and with original Edmund Nye, Manufacturer, Mount Ephraim and Parade, Tunbridge Wells' label. (LWH 24.25 x 9 x 6.6 cm)
* Condition: In very good condition overall. No evidence of losses or restoration to the inlays. Scratch to surface to front left corner of lid. Interior silk is lifting in places and there is a large ink stain to the lid lining. No key. One corner of maker's label missing.
