A selection of WWII Second World War Third Reich Nazi German Luftwaffe Heinkel He 111 aircraft bomber relic parts comprising MG15 twin drum ammunition saddle magazine, part of the engine camshaft and airframe sections. The numbers 116 visible on one part.
Excavation for this aircraft was featured on the BBC series ' The Big Dig '. The Heinkel was part of a raid on Avonmouth Docks and was shot down by F/O Crew and Sgt Guthrie in a Beaufighter of 604 squadron.
