£320
A shoebox containing approximately 310 Scottish postcards, from shires throughout the country and some from the islands. In our first four photos, we show 48 of what we consider to be the strongest cards, including photographic street scenes such as Kipford, Troon, Hawick, Milnathort, Kilmarnock, Glasgow, Stonehaven, Montrose, Alva, Aberfoyle and Blackford but also some with a good social history intertest such as the Scottish fishing industry, oxen carts at Fair Isle, Ben Nevis Observatory and Baldovan industrial School. The last photo shows the 11 of Aberdeen. Of the other 250 or so cards, there are a number of scenic views, abbeys etc, but a decent number of other street scenes too. The condition of most of the cards is good or better but some have minor faults such as small creases or edge knocks.
