WWII GRIPSHOLM - RARE JAPANESE P.O.W. REPATRIATION COVER: 1943 env. from Port Elizabeth sent by an American civilian P.O.W. being repatriated on the "Gripsholm" to his son, a war correspondent in Kunming. The env. was sent at the correct 2/6d air fee via the horseshoe service to Cairo and Calcutta then by CNAC service "over the hump" into China. With correct censor tape applied in S.Africa.
