1a FRANKING WITH RARE BOMBAY PAID MARKING; 23 June 1855 slightly reduced E to Mauritius franked 1a on rear (excised but replaced in correct position) tied by "I" in diamond bars with very scarce "BOMBAY/SHIP.LETTER/[DATE]/PAID." h.s. and double-oval "PACKET LETTER/MAURITIUS" d.s. both on front. Unusual.
