A 19th century Chinese red lacquered games box, the lift-off lid revealing a set of 7 fitted lidded boxes and 5 small decorated trays, all having gilded decoration depicting village scenes, W38cm
Box is in used condition, the gilded decoration to the lid is considerably worn in places, visible lacquer and gilding loss mainly to the corners and inside the box, corners are also split, the lidded boxes in generally good condition, some surface chips and damage again consistent with use
