A late 19c German bracket clock by Winterhalder and Hoffmeier with a barrelled spring ting tang movement striking the quarters on two gongs. The movement has a rectangular brass dial with a silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals and brass cherub hand spandrels. It is contained in a walnut case with an architectural pediment and fluted pilasters flanking the dial. There are bands of scroll carving above and below the dial and the stepped base has block feet. The clock stands 44cm tall.
The movement is complete and runs and strikes. The dial and glass are in undamaged condition and the case is in good clean condition.
