A GEORGIAN IRISH SILVER WAITER, Dublin c.1740, (no date letter), maker John Hamilton, of plain circular form centrally engraved with a crest and motto "Medeo Tutissimus" (possibly contemporary) within a later chased scrolling foliate border, raised upon three paw feet, 7 1/2" diameter, 9ozs 11dwts (Est. plus 21% premium inc. VAT)
Scratch weight 10ozs, 6 1/2 engraved to base. Central crest and motto very rubbed. Two of the feet have been pushed into rim, one showing as a dent, the other has split the rim
