A Japanese sword katana, blade 21" (repolished, small rust patches), the tang unsigned, with single mekugi ana, the detached hilt with simple fuchi kashira engraved with flowers and leaves, the menuki obscured by later binding over the original, with a non original forged iron tsuba originally with holes for kozuka and kogai (one now filled), in its brown lacquered saya with cloud patterns overall, plain brass kojiri and black lacquered kurikata. Generally GC (some wear and faults). £250-300
