AN EDWARD VII INDIA GENERAL SERVICE MEDAL WITH NORTH WEST FRONTIER 1908 CLASP TO THE NORTHUMBERLAND FUSILIERS. An Indian General Service Medal 1908-1935 with North West Frontier 1908 clasp named to 9370 Pte. J. Hunter 1t Bn Northd. Fus. Mounted for display court style. Joseph Hunter was born in 1884 at North Shields, he was killed in action on the 14th September 1914, apparently shot during the Battle of Villas. He was entitled to a Great War trio and memorial plaque and is commemorated on the Ferte-Sous-Jouarre memorial in France.
