Schedel, Dr Hartmann " The Nuremberg Chronicle" illustrated with woodcuts by Michael Wohlgemuth, Wilhelm Pleydenwurff and inter alia possibly by Albrecht Durer (see Adrian Wilson Ch. VIII pg 193), published and printed by Anton Koberger, Nuremberg, 12 July 1493.
First Latin Edition ed: Nuremberg 12 July 1493, text and pagination of the original 265 leaves of 326 leaves required, the rest facsimile or lacking, printed in Latin with uncoloured wood-cut illustrations, on 15th century off-white laid paper.
Photocopy/facsimile of the wood-cut half title from a copy of the December 1493 German edition in Hoch Deutsch, illuminated text: illuminated capitals throughout, blue and red, illustrations and figures without colouring.
The index pages at the back are facsimile.
Religious inspired damage to text :- The 'papa' and ills. of popes crowned, crudely inked out.
Many double page woodcuts and full page woodcuts throughout the text, not collated
Water damage, stains, tears, some repaired. Generally the pages are clean
