A FLINTLOCK MUSKETOON BY GRIFFIN OF LONDON. A Musketoon with a 76cm flared barrel marked with a star beneath a crown and signed 'Griffin London' probably for Benjamin Griffin, ramrod below, with a heavy duty flintlock action engraved 'Griffin', the opposite brass side plate engraved with an owners name 'A. Seaton ESq Whickham 1803', the brass butt plate with a presumably spurious earlier scratched date of 1715, 116cm overall.
Possibly refinished at some time, action functions correctly, very slight chips and scuffs to stock.
