A TOWER ISSUED 1801 PATTERN 'LONG' SEA SERVICE PISTOL. With a 30.5 cm(12in) tapering barrel with various proof marks and rammer below, the flintlock action with ring necked cock with lined decoration, the side plate marked GR beneath a Crown and Tower, also an arrow beneath a crown, similar marks including 180 and P to the stock. With heavy brass trigger guard and butt plate. Steel hook to the left of the body. 48 cm overall.
