1853 (May 18) Entire letter from Liverpool to Montreal sent by private ship, posted at the Floating Receiving House, the 2/4 rate (1/4 + 1/- late fee) paid by 1d red strip of four (RA three margins, RB-RD full margins) and 1/- embossed vertical pair (cut square, full margins) each cancelled "466", "LIVERPOOL / F.R.H" backstamp, pressed vertical file folds cross one 1d stamp and the upper 1/-, otherwise fine and attractive.
