Spanish Netherlands - Duchy of Brabant, Albert and Isabella (1598-1621), 1 Patagon ND(1612-1621), Crowned cross of Saint Andrew, flanked by pair of crowned A Y monograms. Mintmark above, / Crowned coat of arms surrounded by collar of the Order of the Golden Fleece,
Together with letter from H.G. Webber. (F.S.V.A.) of Coin Monthly identifying this coin, and one other letter dated 10/12/1975.

This type is the very first Patagon, introduced by the new governor of the Spanish Netherlands, Archduke Albert VII of Habsburg.
It is also known as the Albertusthaler in the Holy Roman Empire and the thaler à la croix bourguignon in France.
