An excellent example of antique leather trunk case. Featuring the original genuine leather belt straps and blue and white pinstripe interior. Sporting an original owners tag to ''T. J Gaisford St. Lawrence Esq, Howth Castle, Co. Dublin.'' Thomas Gaisford was the 3rd Earl of Howth and responsible for igniting Irish horse racing interest in the mid 1800s, according The Independent. The Gaisford family have only recently sold the Howth Castle and Demesne in 2019 after an impressive tenure of 842 years proprietorship. H46cm x L92cm x D50cm
