A rare Worcester chocolate cup on stand with scalloped rims and openwork scrolling handles. Scale blue ground and decorated with gilt cartouches and husk swags under dentil rims in the workshop of James Giles. Underglaze blue square seal marks c.1770, stand 14.5cm wide. Cf. No chips, cracks or repair. Firing flaws to the cup glaze.
