£4,600
Fine English ebonised and ormolu mounted triple fusee verge bracket clock, the 6.75" silvered chapter ring enclosing a finely engraved foliate centre with calendar aperture, under two subsidiary chime/not chime and Lass of the Hill/A Song/An Air/A Minuet tune selector dials either side of a shaped plate possibly inscribed F.R & S, London, the verge movement with fine foliate engraved back plate and pull repeat playing on a nest of ten bells and striking on another within a stepped case with wavy glazed door, flanked by canted sides applied with foliate torso ormolu mounts, upon foliate scrolling cast feet and surmounted by a caddy top with five urn finials, 24.5" high (pendulum and keys)
This clock has been converted back to verge escapement, the case, hands etc all appear to be original, the general condition appears good with some surface wear especially to the edges and slight lifting of veneers on the back door, we believe the movement is original to the case and dial, although the movement has been re-converted back to verge, the wavy front door is not matched by the dial plate which has straight sides. See images for guidance, personal viewing always advised where possible.
