Botha/Boer Prisoner of War/Taken at Elandslaagte/Simons Town/Cape Colony" with a v.fine unrecorded "PAQUEBOT" and violet "CENSOR PRISONERS OF WAR" UDC. On reverse 10 May 1900 "PRETORIA/Z.A.R." c.d.s. plus 14 May 1900 "DURBAN/NATAL" c.d.s. Note; the battle of Elandslaagte took place on 21 Oct. 1899. Ex Hosking. Sold for £240 in our Dec. 2014 sale.
