A LATE 19TH CENTURY WALNUT AND SATINWOOD BANDED PASTRY CHEF'S BOX AND CONTENTS, the lid with shield shaped plated cartouche engraved with monogram CL, swan neck carrying handles to the sides (one missing), the hinged lid interior bears retailer's plaque for 'E. Bonnet, 55 Dean St, London', the box with lift out tray and divided interior filled with pastry cutters and moulds, many fitted in tins, some of which are also marked for E. Bonnet 55, Dean St, (Édouard Bonnet was a “cook’s materials dealer” at 55 Dean Street from circa 1882 - 1901), height 34cm x width 48.5cm x depth 33.5cm (Condition Report: the box has wear and tear commensurate with age and use, lock area is chipped, one side handle missing, some rusting to pastry cutters and moulds)
