John Sedman Elder served with the 8th (Service) Battalion of the Yorkshire Regiment, born in 1898 he lived at Oyston's PLace Flowergate, Whitby, enlisting on the 16th September 1916 he traveled to the France on the 12th January 1917 and Italy on the 8th November 1917. *CR Normal light surface marks.
