TWO FIRST WORLD WAR PAIRS TO PROBABLE BROTHERS. A Great War Pair comprising War Medal and Victory Medal named to 57244 Pte W. Elder W. York. R. Wilfred Elder also served with the Labour Corps with number 475809.
A Great War Pair Comprising War Medal and Victory Medal named to 37998 Pte J.J.S. Elder York R. John Sedman Elder served with the 8th (Service) Battalion of the Yorkshire Regiment, born in 1898 he lived at Oyston's PLace Flowergate, Whitby, enlisting on the 16th September 1916 he traveled to the France on the 12th January 1917 and Italy on the 8th November 1917. *CR Normal light surface marks. A lot fee of £8 inc. VAT will be charged on top of the hammer price and BP on all lots.
