After a design by Charles & Ray Eames, a lounge chair and ottoman (No. 670 and 671), with mahogany faced laminate on an aluminum frame with black bonded leather upholstery. 84 cm wide x 104 cm deep x 79 cm overall height, 39 cm height to the seat front (the chair) Private estate First commissioned by Herman Miller from the renowned designers Charles & Ray Eames and released in1956 and rapidly became the epitome of American mid-century design. Both chair and ottoman are unmarked in the casting or with applied labels as to makers. The bonded leather has cracked and perished but doesn't seem to have any holes. The chair is difficult to rotate on its pillar but does with some force.
