Japanese satsuma vase by Kinkozan, Meiji (1868-1912), shouldered ovoid form with flared neck, decorated with panels depicting a temple deep within a forest, bordered with gilt foliate decoration against a deep cobalt blue ground, signed and impressed mark, height 16cm

There is a firing blemish bursting through the blue rim at the neck. Some wear to the gilt line here with tiny scratches. Light crazing throughout. There is a slight rubbing to the gilt on the lower neck and slight loss to gilt detail around the foot rim.
No further damage or restoration found.
