A fabulous antique original Edmond Murphy (b.1861 - d.1950) watercolour on paper painting titled "Marsh beyond Baldoyle on the way towards Malahide" (inscribed to verso). Shows a landscape scene of a wet marshland with small titular village on the horizon. Nicely rendered in a palette of yellow greens and lavender blues. Signed bottom right and beautifully presented in a gilt frame with complementary gilt matting. Presented in January 1991 by the artist's daughter, Sheila Murphy, to his great-grand-nephew, Lonan McDowell. Neptune Gallery framer's sticker to verso.
