Edwardian diamond pendant necklace, worked in anthemion form centred with an old round cut diamond of approx. 0.5ct, in a beaded collet mount, centred within eleven further old round cut diamonds, similarly mounted on blade bars, faced in platinum and backed in yellow gold, suspended from a blade bar with a pear cut diamond at the top, the drop 41mm, width 17mm, all suspended on a fine 18ct white gold chain necklace, length 45cm, gross weight approx. 5.6g

More Information

None of the diamonds are free of flaws. The central diamond in the lower pendant has a fissure which surfaces, creating a small chip which can be felt with a fingernail. We would suggest that the stones are well matched in colour and clarity, being in the region of K - M, SI1 or 2, other than the central diamond mentioned being I2.
The blade mounts have very slight bends and wear consistent with normal use and age. The chain is in good condition, the clasp works well and is marked on the clasp. The pendant is unmarked. Overall it is in a presentable condition.
