A 19th-century plaster cast putti's masque, with wings painted to simulate carved wood, probably for ecclesiastical decoration. Together with a large early-20th century painted plaster cast of the Madonna/Virgin Mary and a hand-carved wooden figure of Jesus Christ. The putti masque: 33 cm wide. (3)

Footnote: Provenance: Direct from the estate of Nancy Fouts (1945-2019) Quite possibly salvaged item from the Oakley Square vicarage in Camden, which Nancy restored in the late 20th century. The vicarage and church were built by John Johnson (1807-1878), the architect who also designed Alexandra Palace.
