A NAPOLEONIC STYLE CANNON AND CARRIAGE. A cannon with a cast tapering barrel with ringed decoration, 116cm long, the bore 6.5cm at the muzzle. The carriage on two metal bound twelve spoke wheels, fitted with a small lidded box and various metal fixings and straps. With inspection marks near the firing point. The wheels 96cm high, the piece approximately 146cm wide and 227cm long.
Apparently at one time used by or created for the Royal Shakespeare Company.
Sold as a non firing item for display purposes. *CR An enormously decorative piece with great visual impact and presence. All elements appear sturdy and robust.
