WWII 1940 DUTCH MAILS DELAYED UNTIL 1948: 1940 quartet envs. from Australia, Brazil and Portugal (2) which were on a train requisitioned by the French Army. The mails were removed and hidden then not discovered again until 1948 when the Dutch PO attached a typed label to each, "Amsterdam Maart 1948 / Door oorlogsomstandigheden / met vertraging ontvagen", prior to delivery.
