A DOCUMENTARY SLIPWARE CRADLE, 1829, with finial to the hood and applied with S scrolls and hearts, raised on a pair of applied rockers, with zig-zag slip trailing and named "E. I. Pawson, July 20 1829, J. Northall, Maker", 10" long overall (Illustrated) (Est. plus 24% premium inc. VAT) NB This appears to have been the body of a salt pig which has been 'cut' to form the cradle.
Both finials missing from base, typical flaking to glaze on extremities.
