This Japanese Starter Deck Holo is unique as it does not have the same glossy card stock as the Vending Machine Expansion 2 Articuno with the same artwork. This card has been authenticated and graded by CGC and awarded a Near Mint/Mint 8. Grading report: A card graded 8 must have relatively smooth edges with only minor touches of wear. It must have original color borders and gloss. One of the following very minor flaws is allowed: corners are sharp to the naked eye but reveal slight imperfections under magnification; a small amount of minor print spots; subtle focus imperfections of the image. A very slight diamond cut is allowed. TCG cards could have small-to-moderate handling defects. For sports and non-sports cards, centering must be 65/35 or better.About this card: The Articuno #144 card is a holographic card from the 1998 Japanese-exclusive Quick Starter Gift Set, also known as the Red and Green Gift Set. This set comprises two decks: the Red Deck and the Green Deck, named after the original Japanese Pokémon games, Pokémon Red and Green. The Articuno card is included in the Red Deck. All cards from the Quick Starter Gift Set are reprints from the Vending Machine Expansion Sheets 1, 2 & 3.
