Collection of 8x various Hickory shafted clubs belonging to the late Rev David Ritchie (b.1872-1948) Minister & Golf Professional comprising W J Lock scarehead spoon c/w full brass wrap over sole plate and Willie Dunn socket head driver both fitted with Crawford, McGregor & Canby Co Dayton Ohio shafts c/w original full length leather grips with underlisting; 2x smf irons by W J Lock Rosedale and J MacGregor Dayton Ohio with shaft stamp, both stamped with initials J R to the heads and fitted with original thick full length hide grips; 2x Proguide Non Corrosive Irons a no.2 and a no. 5 both with matching shafts and full length black leather grips; 2x Joe Anderson Perth clubs with Tom Stewart Pipe marks an L Model Push Iron and wry neck blade putter with makers shaft stamp both with full length period grips. Note Newspaper clippings from Canada show the Rev David Ritchie became provincially and nationally known in Canada and Scotland. The oral history of the clubs passed down by each generation tell how two clubs may have been given by Tom Morris to David when the family first emigrated
