14.2 grams, testing 18 ct. gold.
The carved carnelian intaglio depicting a man, Signed Simon Fils for Jean-Marie-Amable-Henri SIMON dit Simon fils (1788-1866).
The other side a carved bloodstone intaglio depicting a woman.
L. 3.7 cm.

In 1828, Simon received an order for three carnelian intaglios to be donated to the King's library.
At the Salon of 1831, Simon exhibited three intaglios of Charles X, the Queen and the Dauphin
